A Night of Resilience, Growth, and Empowerment: Our Annual Meeting with the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council

Last night, the Women’s Masters Network | WMN Houston, alongside the inspirational Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council, hosted our annual meeting at the GSSJC Headquarters, marking a triumphant beginning to our 2024 theme of Resilience and Growth. Our board, advisory board, members, and friends gathered in full force for an update on the exciting year ahead.

WMN President Natalie (Navellier) Holden opened the evening with a warm welcome, setting the stage for our esteemed speaker, Mary Vitek, CEO of the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council. Mary’s reflections on the theme of resilience resonated deeply, sharing how the Girl Scouts have navigated the challenges of the pandemic, reinforcing their commitment to community support and program expansion.

The evening also provided a unique opportunity for attendees to step into Women’s History Month with a Girl Scout History Museum tour. In line with our spirit of giving back, many supported the Girl Scouts’ educational efforts by donating books for K-12 readers, helping to combat the summer slide. Generosity was met with gratitude, as donors were rewarded with an extra raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes from our generous sponsors: Bullpen Marketing – Texas, Dao Chloe Dao, Pathway Admissions, LLC, Women’s Masters Network | WMN Houston, and the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council.

Special thanks to our location and food sponsors, the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council and Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, for their hospitality and delicious contributions to the evening.

Our heartfelt appreciation extends to everyone who made this event possible, especially our Board of Directors: Natalie (Navellier) Holden, Juliana Herman, Shana’ Brown, George Herman, Emily Clark, MBA, Monikka Mann, PMP CSM, and Cecilia Tossoni, and our Advisory Board: Kim Denney, Radu Filip, Heidi (Smith) Herzog, MBA, Susan Hodge, PCC, Tracey Shappro, and Demi Chan, for their tireless dedication and support.
